[Software] Not sure how or who to message... Brave on Host and VB
Posted: 2024-08-10 07:22
On my Debian 12.5
64GB DDRAMM and an 5E Xeon processor
For my normal browser, on Debian, I use Brave and access a web-based mail service from it..
I have a Windows 11 VM I use when I must run MS Word.
When running the VM, I often need to move back and forth between the mail and the MS Word program
IF:
Brave is running but the VM is not > No Problem.
VM is running but Brave is not being accessed (by my using Thorium browser for the mail) > No Problem.
Brave is running; the VM is running; and I am using Brave to use the mail service > BIG Problem.
Eventually, but not right away: The mouse across the the host and the VM can still move but the buttons no longer work. Some keyboard functions seem to work but not all.
I can SSH into the workstation from another system and 'kill' processes. Sometimes that fixes the problem, Other times I have to issue a reboot via the SSH session.
So it is an interaction between the two. For now I just avoid the issue by using Thorium in that specific case... but should I report it to someone or just chalk it up to FM?
