[Software] Problems with CUPS

I have desktop system with printer connected to the system. Printer is working fine when I am printing from the desktop. When printer is in the idle state it cannot be found by the other systems on the network. When the printer is in ready state it can be found by the other systems in the network and the other systems can print on the printer. In either state the printer is accepting jobs. Is this the normal behavior of the CUPS, in the sense that printer MUST be in the ready state so it can be found on the network?
All systems on the network are running the latest stable version of Debian.

There may be some help at: http://localhost:631, and clicking on "Using Network Printers". The other thought that comes to mind is the printer probably needs to be set as "server default", which you can do by navigating to the printer and clicking on "Administration" to find the options.

What make and model of printer is this? How is it installed? How is it connected to the network?

The model is Samsung M2022, it is installed via CUPS driver, it is connected to the desktop by USB. The desktop is then connected to the network, the desktop is de facto printer server.

A year ago you had a problem with a Samsung M2020 printer.

Is this a different printer? If it is the M2022 rather than the M2020, the difference is critical, because the M2022 supports driverless printing but the M2020 doesn't, or at least is not listed as doing so.

Use of drivers is deprecated in Debian 11, and the driverless USB connection is the default, so that might explain your problems, but you need to confirm the model number.

Yes, the printer is the same, and the model on the label on the printer sates it is M2022.
Where can I read more about driverless printing, especially how to install printer with driverless USB connection in CUPS?
