We could see your local Windows file, but we would have to hack you first. 😉

My CDO (OCD but alphabetized) won't allow for clutter. Two independent X displays, each with four virtual desktops, running openbox/tint2...and give me clicky keyboard or give me death. can't type well on anything but a genuine IBM model-M keyboard.

Nice! I have not seen an actual IBM keyboard like that (PS/2 type) in a long time. I loved them.
A little "Did You Know": The PS/2 keyboard could actually double as a self defense device ;)

The Thinkpad W520 was the last model to have that keyboard. I have another. The one they switched to not nearly as deadly, or nice to type on.
My IBM T43 is really sweet.

I've known a couple "company man" managers whom I considered hitting over the head with one on occasion.

I stumbled upon this site which might interest people here: Hacker Stations
Hacker Stations is a collection of workspace setups by tech professionals from all over the world. Whether you are looking for inspiration for your own setup, or just want to see how others design their workspaces for focus and productivity - we’ve got it!

Sorry, I really thought that was in the spirit of the topic and would be of interest to people who come here. Feel free to delete it along with this one. My desktop is really irrelevant.

I still think it's a nice addition, even if it isn't from our users.

TY :D
That's what I call a backlight keyboard. I had to look twice because I thought I was looking out of your window. It's very much like that as I looked out of mine this morning. But more frosty than snow.

Updated with a day view.

Laptop: ASUS VivoBook Ryzen 7, Debian Sid
Behind the laptop is a Pi4 (which can't be seen) running Debian stable - this is my file server.
Monitor: 32 inch LG
2 Unitek external drive bays.
The full height drives are 2 Sata Seagate Barracuda 4TB drives. These are hung off the Pi4 and are luks volumes.
The drive bay with the 2 Sata Seagate 1TB drives are for the laptop. These are also luks volumes.

The external drive bays are for convenience and heat dispersion.
I know there are other alternatives but this was was cheap at the time and I never really bothered to swap things out.

Added a screenshot from the desktop.

Thanks, yes that's how I saw it, I knew it wasn't directly on topic but I felt it was related enough. But judgments are relative, we all have to accept that.

Well, now that I have taken up too much space, I'm going to have to pay I guess. But I warned you, I don't have much to offer :)
My main screen is a 27'' 1920x1200, which is rare now. I prefer 16:10 than 16:9, I hope it will last.
The other is a 19'' 1280x1024 (5:4). It is off most of the time, I mainly use it for GIMP tools.

I treated myself to a new 55 inch gaming desk and gaming chair to enhance my experience usng my two Thinkpad W520, one running FreeBSD and the other Kali Linux,

The chair is fiber, not PU pleather, and has individual coiled springs like a mattress.
