That's the point. According your previous posts, my guess is that your Suse manager has not mirrored the required Debian repository, not only for packages, but also for directories and required repository files. Nor have you done it manually. Therefore, the Debian Installer cannot find it.

Hi,
Just wondering if you have found a solution. I am also building a POC based on cobbler, but got stuck with this. It seems that even I have specified:

Code: Select all

debian-installer/allow_unauthenticated
Some udeb packages still fail to install? And this causes disk detect to fail?

Is it you or the OP ?
Yes I am the one who posted it. As I could not find the response.

To me, it is not a concern of if debian is supported or not, but rather, if I mirror a reposiotry on SUSE Manager or an RMT, how can I find what was mirrored and use it with the preseed, so there would be no need to mirror the Debian repository twice. Or maybe it is not possible..

after carefully compared the lsmod, I noticed libata is missing, I think that's a key component used by disk detection? And I also noticed, on the debian-12.5.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso, none of the `ata-modules-6.1.0-18-*amd64.udeb` packages exist in `debian/pool/main/l/linux-signed-amd64/`. I strongly suspect that's the reason.

I am downloading the DLBD version of ISOs, will try to import that and see if the import tree contains the ata-modules.

Cheers
Derrick
