I am having issues on my Lenovo 300e 2nd gen 81M9 getting the touch screen working (not the trackpad). It doesn't seem to work at all and isn't showing in lsusb but it does seem to be listed as an input device. This is the latest Debian version with all updates running Cinnamon.
Any ideas to get it working? I assume the touchscreen is the random ELAN device in xinput with no name. Touchscreen works fine in windows.

Re: Touchscreen not working
I have found that using the Gnome desktop was better for me when using a touchscreen device, I don't know if it is down to Wayland or Gnome but it's the desktop I have found to be most trouble free for this use case.
Re: Touchscreen not working
Yes, it is working on gnome in wayland. Thanks for the tip. Do you think there could be any way to get that working in cinnamon? I really prefer it.
Re: Touchscreen not working
Lol after installing gnome Wayland now it is working when I switch back to cinnamon and a new device is now listed in xinput as stylus pen!
