Debian Server Recommended partitioning for server

Hello together,
I am installed my first Debian Server with the Image debian-12.7.0-amd64-netinst.iso
It is a Proxmox VM
Is there a recommended partitioning for server?
Or should I use auto partitioning?
1 GB /swap
x GB /

If I have a second disk, sdb, and I want to use it for /var, how do I that?
First install an sda and then partitioning sdb and set I mount point?

I am newbie on Linux.

Hello!

At least expert installer lets you use any disk and partition as you like, for example as /var.

I do not see myself as an expert, I just use expert installer as with it I get what I want.

Have not used the standard installer for years, can not speak for that.

OK, I think the different is, that the Guided Partition Manager created two Partitions with standard size.
1 GB /swap
x GB / for the rest
In the past I think it was better to make an own Boot Partition
And a bigger swap Parition
But I don't know if it necessary by Debian 12

I want to move /var to sdb1, but I don't know how to do.
perhaps it would have been easier to do it directly during installation.
