Debian install without a CD or DVD.

#1 Post by edbarx »

Hi, I would like to ask how to install Debian Stable without a CD or DVD. This is a Dell Inspiron i3 laptop belonging to my sister. Is it too old for Debian with XFCE? Since this is a rather old laptop I do not plan to use KDE or Gnome. For my sister systemd is not an issue, and let us face it, it has been almost ten years ago since Debian adopted it.

The worst infection of all, is a false sense of security!
It is hard to get away from CLI tools.

I used a USB thumb drive to boot. The installation was completed successfully.
