Re: thundwerbirdmail 115
This will come with Thunderbird 115.3.
Thunderbird loosely follows the Firefox-esr release schedule. Firefox-esr 115.3 is due to be released by Mozilla September 26.

Thunderbird 115.3 will generally be released a short time after that. Then we are just waiting for it to be packaged by Debian. Generally not too long if memory serves but it might take a bit longer too.

Re: thundwerbirdmail 115
The Ubuntuzilla supposedly exists to enable the use of latest versions of Firefox and Thunderbird in Debian based distros that don't have the latest versions in the repository. While it usually takes only a few days for Firefox, Thunderbird updates seem to take a few months - roughly 3 months before 102 became available, for example. However, as it's been almost 3 months since 115 was released, it might be worth keeping an eye on. Probably going to arrive there sooner than the ESR release if that is 2026.

Rather this should come with Thunderbird 115.3. But back in the transition to the 91 series it didn't come until 91.4.1 so it's not certain.

(Look for the link "Accepted thunderbird 1:91.4.1-1~deb11u1 (source amd64 all) into stable-security->embargoed, stable-security".)

I thought three years sounded a long time. Thanks for the correction!

Re: thundwerbirdmail 115
Call me weird, but I like to just get Firefox-esr and Thunderbird (I hate the 115 version, stayed with 102.x) directly from the FTP, extract them to a "portable" folder and just run them directly as portable. I don't "install" them at all and I completely remove the "stock installs". It's a little more cumbersome making your own shortcuts/launchers and setting them as default, but it's just become part of my routine because I either didn't like the versions in repos or the repo of some distros don't have firefox-esr at all, or I don't like the extra language packs and junk that the repo versions pull in.
