Does anyone know what it means if during boot "efi: error ident-mapping new memmap" is displayed? Seems harmless, but I am curious. I tried adding "add_efi_memmap" to the grub file, but it made no difference.
Booting Debian 12 from net-install on external usb hard drive with Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6600 AMD system. UEFI mode on the Debian install, with CSM=enabled (had same error with 100% UEFI/GPT though) for Windows on another drive to boot legacy MBR...because 'reasons'.

Motherboard is set to CSM=enabled so legacy MBR or UEFI GPT boot will work.
Debian is installed on an external USB, 1TB HDD in GPT (UEFI), with GRUB on an EFI partition on that drive.
Windows is installed on a different internal SSD that is MBR (BIOS) mode.
The two drives are independent and irrelevant to each other. When the USB Debian drive is not plugged in, it just auto boots to Windows, or I use the motherboard boot options to switch if I want to, not GRUB.
"(had same error with 100% UEFI/GPT though)" - I had previously installed everything in 100% UEFI/GPT mode but decided to keep Windows on MBR so reinstalled. Had the same error before while CSM was disabled and everything was full UEFI...just in case someone might be thinking it is to do with the "hybrid" system. The Debian install can't even "see" the Windows install and it does not show up in the grub boot menu (since it is MBR I assume).
