IIRC it's not against the rules, no reason to be concerned i think
the main environmental issues some folks have with ai are more concerned with larger models, particularly in the contexts of image and video (as good results frequently require quite large models)
small LLMs for text and such are rarely an issue, particularly the newer 1B and 3B edge models of LLaMA
some get pissy over copying of material from the web, but admittedly if IP laws didn't exist i think we'd be in a better world ...

i've always found it funny how much more stable debian's unstable distribution compared to the "stabler" rolling release distros.

unstable is far from it in my experience
