Edited the file and uncommented set-default-sink output.

I will reboot and report back.

Hi. I am currently running Debian 11.7 Stable Xfce. Under the Audio Mixer, in the Configuration Tab, under Volume Control it always defaults to https://i.postimg.cc/L5gFhsXk/HDMI-Debian-11-7-Xfce-Default.png , then change it to https://i.postimg.cc/TYmh4d9W/HDMI-Debian-11-7.png and the sounds starts...
