Re: Machine fails to boot. Internet dependency not met.
Maybe start with how and why you disabled the root account then maybe you can get access to fix the problem. You've obviously made some changes you shouldn't have for some reason and now your getting bit from it.

Re: [Testing - Trixie] hyprland
The fact that your asking this question says you may not be ready for Hyprland. It's up to you though. As mentioned. Just install it and the login manager should see it.

Re: Touchpad and Touchscreen not working
Touchpad and touchscreen are two very different things with different drivers. The touchscreen should use the Wacom drivers. The touchpad uses the libinput or synaptics driver.

I don't know what myMPD is or how it works but in the link you posted are the configuration and running instructions. Have you read through these to make sure it's set up properly?

Re: Wayland
I have the same issue currently with xfce4 and wayland. There were some recent wayland updates and following a restart I could no longer log into a wayland session, labwc or wayfire, from lightdm. I could startxfce4 --wayland to get a labwc session for a bit but now that fails as well. X11 login seems to work fine.

Your sources are incomplete and is probably why. See example.
deb https://deb.debian.org/debian trixie main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
Add the missing components and apt update again.

Re: How to install ungoogle-chromium?, Debian13
dh-exec is available through all branches of debian since buster so I'm not sure why it doesn't come up. Possible a repo issue?
apt update
apt install dh-exec
Code: Select all
apt policy dh-exec
dh-exec:
Installed: (none)

Version table:

Re: How to install ungoogle-chromium?, Debian13
What is the "failure" on the first one?
The second is a dependency issue. You will have to search out how and where to get those. I'm not sure why they are not available from your standard repo but I'm sure there is a reason.

Which login manager are you using? Did you select an X11 login? I think by default the choice is an X11 login.

Re: [Testing - Trixie] Xfce lock screen issue?
Light-locker is not part of Xfce but rather lightdm project. I'm not sure why the Debian Xfce folks package it in to the DE. xfce4-screensaver seems to work fine although I don't use it personally. I also don't let my laptop sleep/hibernate. If I do want to lock the screen I use dm-tool lock.I have it set as a command in the whiskermenu.

Re: apt migrating to DEB822 - Slight issue
You have to add "signed-by" to the line.
or switch to the new format.
Code: Select all
deb [signed-by=/path/to/keyring] https://..........
Code: Select all
Types: deb
URIs: https://deb.debian.org/debian/
Suites: unstable
Components: main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
Enabled: yes

Re: [SID - Unstable] APT Update error
You need to point it to the keyring.
Code: Select all
Types: deb
URIs: https://deb.debian.org/debian/
Suites: unstable
Components: main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
Enabled: yes
Signed-By: /usr/share/keyrings/debian-archive-keyring.gpg

Try changing the theme. Better yet switch to LightDM. That's what I did.

Re: Setting up a Qemu for MsWin Os
Is this a remote guest? Why are you trying to use VNC? Although no MS stuff I do run a couple guests locally for testing etc. I run them in full screen on a virtual desktop one at a time.
